Shots Fired At Illinois Church

UPDATE: Sunday, March 8, 2009, 1:09 pm -- The pastor of the Baptist church in Marysville, Ill. where the shooting took place is dead. The assailant shot him in front of congregants, then took out a knife and tried to wound or kill himself. Congregants rushed the criminal and tackled him.

Illinois . . . that bastion that knows no freedom . . . where people are not legally allowed to defend themselves with a firearm. At least not with a concealed firearm.


Media outlets are reporting that a criminal fired shots inside an Illinois church near St. Louis. The gunman is reported to be in custody, but several people are injured.
