With Cook County dominating Illinois, it is no surprised that "The Chicago Way" dominates . . .
Please note: The Illinois Supreme Court did NOT reverse the order. They merely issued a "stay" to the "no print" order, meaning the name can be printed as the ballots are going to press this week. The court is going to hear his appeal. If, in the event (which I doubt) that the state's high court rules against Mr. Emanual, and any further appeals fail, voters would simply be advised that he is not a legitimate candidate, and any votes cast for him would not count toward anything.
This will be an interesting argument on both sides. I predict, though, that he ultimately will prevail in his bid to be on the ballot -- my opinion about the meaning of the word "resident" notwithstanding.
