I don't know the details on why the Santa Ana, Calif. teacher brought a handgun to school, and placed it in her desk drawer. That her students found it in the drawer must have been traumatic for them.
What she did was illegal. But if she did it to protect kids and herself, because today's schools are such wide-open, unprotected victim zones, then I truly understand her intent.
Until the law is changed, it was still wrong.
