I cannot make it to the hearing, which begins in about 35 minutes, but the Ohio Senate's Criminal Justice Committee is likely to vote out a substitute bill today on Castle Doctrine/No Duty To Retreat legislation.
Sadly, look for it to be a greatly watered down version of the good bill which began the session.
Some TRL readers who plan to attend have already told me they will pass along their impressions on the discussion and whatever comes out via a formal vote on the matter. If the committee approves anything, it moves next to consideration by the full Ohio Senate.
