Just Because

No matter whether I'm helping out with a weekend NRA instructor class, or leading a Thursday morning commercial real estate marketing session, there are donuts. Always donuts.

Earlier this week I wrote about the Krispy Kreme donut company, which is facing a serious financial crisis. Its CEO has resigned. Earnings tumbled in December and it expects more franchised stores to close in 2008, even though the firm has removed trans-fats from the mix (isn't that what gives those babies flavor?).

For some humor heading into the weekend, here is a look at Krispy Kreme donuts -- and life. As comedian Aaron Wilburn says, good food is spiritual: "It sticketh closer than a brother." He finds a way to weave Krispy Kreme into his entire discussion about southern culture and the differences between men and women.
