Bush Signs Gun Law Bill

Rightly or wrongly, President Bush has signed the NICS Improvement Act of 2007. Reuters has a story with a Brady Campaign focus. The Associated Press also has the story. And of course, the New York Times couldn't gush enough about the bill signing (though the word "progressive" in the headline is likely a sign of more to come).

Crafted in the weeks following the Virginia Tech shootings, there are real flaws with this legislation despite its good intentions. But I don't hold out much hope that this Congress has any interest in fixing legislation to benefit firearms owners.
