Senators for the Second Amendment

"My goodness how times have changed. 25 years ago, in 1983, James Watts pretty much banned handguns and other firearms into national parks and wildlife refuges. Now even some Democrats think the ban is — what’s the technical word for it? — oh yea, stupid."

Great reading from the nation's capitol. At this writing, nearly half the Senate is pushing the Bush administration to let gun owners carry handguns and other firearms into national parks and wildlife refuges.

Mr. Greer thank you for covering this and other matters pertaining to our precious gun rights. It is about time that senators stood up for common people instead of joining in with the elitists. I think the most interesting point of the story you linked to is that a number of democrats also believe the prohibitions on carrying in our federal parks and refuges is stupid. 3 cheers for a Senate that gets it.
