Your Car A 'Public' Place? Only In Oregon

A big debate over at Dave Codrea's place. One interpretation of an Oregon Appeals Court ruling suggests that your car is now considered a "public place." The implication being that possessing a loaded firearm in a vehicle may be considered a crime if the locality in which you are traveling has a ban on open loaded carry. Others however, say the ruling has to do with "streets" being public places.

The debate in the comments section is interesting.
