Big Brother Won't Be Touching California Thermostats After All

The state of California has halted, at least for now, a plan that would have allowed utilities to control the thermostats inside residents' homes remotely, instead making plans to work on a "voluntary" program.

I wrote on this several days ago and the story elicted quite a response around the nation. Most people agreed that having a private utility (it may as well be government) manipulating the heating and cooling controls in your home is just wrong.
