New York City Has a Governor?

Better tell that to his highness, anti-gun Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

I knew that New York City liked to think of itself as the end-all, be-all, but its insulting to the rest of the state. Time magazine has a goof on its hands, at least in its online edition (I haven't checked the hardcopy version). A headline announcing the ascension of Lt. Gov. David Paterson to the "big desk" after the resignation of scandal-ridden anti-gun Gov. Elliot Spitzer, says the following: "Paterson To Become NYC Governor."

I can't help but assume the headline was written by a Time staffer who resides in NYC.
