Illinois Village Administrator Admonished; Big CCW Rally Planned For Chicago

Updated: Tuesday, July 8, 2008, 10:29 pm -- Here is a link to information on the big Chicago Second Amendment Freedom Rally coming up on July 11!

Rightfully so, gun rights groups are demanding an apology from Oak Park, Ill. Village Manager Tom Barwin for saying on a national radio interview that he is amazed the U.S. Supreme Court decided to support gang-bangers with its landmark ruling on the Second Amendment.

Excuse me? That ruling was for ALL Americans. Mayor Barwin. Does a bigot such as yourself thumb your nose at the law abiding residents of your town every day, or just when you have a chance to get your name in the national headline? Law abiding moms and dads in Illinois, and in the United States who have been clamoring for this affirmation of an affirmation for some time. The Supreme Court, in the Heller ruling (in so many words), finally told lawmakers they cannot fritter away the 2A for political reasons.

Here is what Administrator Barwin told National Public Radio (NPR):

"It's just completely befuddling that our Supreme Court would be in alliance with the gangbangers."
Geez. Anyway, Illinois lawmakers are girding for a monster of a pro-self-defense rally coming up on Friday. It is part of a renewal to push Illinois state lawmakers to pass concealed carry legislation. The kick-off for the campaign will take place outside the Thompson State Building, located in the heart of Chicago's Loop.

Representatives from organizations including Illinois Concealed Carry, The Second Amendment Sisters, Pink Pistols, and the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) are scheduled to speak.

Mayor Daley . . . you might want to bring an extra pair of undies to work that day. I am thinking that PSH is sure to ensue. Clearly, Administrator Barwin already keeps a box of Depends in his office.
