Disturbing Incident in Upper Arlington, Ohio

I don't know the details yet, but I was just made aware of an incident in the affluent suburb of Upper Arlington, outside Columbus, Ohio. A homeowner who used a shotgun a week ago to confront an intruder who had entered his home was given a tongue-lashing for his actions by a UA police officer, who told him that guns are dangerous. I'll publish more here when I know the details. If true, this officer is advised to get out of the business if he is afraid of the sidearm affixed to his belt.

I recognize this officer from the home owners' description--not a gun-related issue. I hope you stay concerned, U. A. employee; you need to be. I have my own Upper Arlington police horror stories.

UA Cops have good and bad traits. They generally get the bad guys. We had a series of home invasions which were violent - the UA PD got every one of them. However, I have experienced the "guns are bad" BS. Additionally, I have seen UA cops do 90 mph going to a non-injury, fender-bender by Thompson Park on a Sunday!. Being the son of a police office, I confronted the female cops about the excessive speed - they had flown past me and my children who were riding our bikes to the park. All I can say is these two women were assholes. I was polite but direct- they puffed up and tried to talk tough to me, made a veiled threat of arrest...it was rediculous. I was a dad on a bike, taking his kids to the park on a Sunday afternoon. All I can say, is that it looked like penis envy to me. They could have killed someone speeding like that...I lost my respect for them based upon their behavior and attitude.

On a personal note, the two female officers were so damn fat, they should be jogging on calls. God help us if they ever need to run after a perp. These two lard-asses looked like they were in line for PowerChairs to roll around on.

Upper Arlington Police violate our Civil Rights and think they are above the law. They are in bed with the judges in this city and are out of control. I have seen and heard first hand a UA police officer lie on the witness stand just to get a conviction.
