While the National Rifle Association throws a good party and a heck of a convention every year, and recently began sponsoring some grassroots workshops, hard-core, in-the-thick-of-it Second Amendment grassroots activists know the place to be each and every year is the Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC).
This year, the event, sponsored by the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and the Citizens Committee for the Right To Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA), will take place in Phoenix, Ariz. The event, set for September 26-28, is free and a ton of educational and reference materials are distributed at no charge.
I have attended this conference a number of times, and it re-energizes the mind and soul. The speaker list is phenomenol. And when you think you are the only individual, or group, facing a certain problem, you learn that there are others across the nation who have faced the same legislative or legal issues. Often times those challenges have been overcome.
GRPC is the conference, which takes place annually over a fall weekend, that helps answer the tough questions, and fills in the blanks regarding what is happening locally, at the state level and nationally.
There will be more information forthcoming in the months ahead, and if you can find a way to get there, you should!
