Robb Allen over at Sharp As A Marble brings us a (obvious) reminder that Castle Doctrines and laws that do not require you to retreat do not grant you a license to kill at will.
A recent case in Florida proved this point.
I love Robb's following statement:"The Brady Campaign would have you believe that all you have to do is tell a cop that you killed the busload of middle school children because you felt they were threatening your life and that you can just go home like nothing happened. Not that it's a surprise, but that is patently false."
Nicely written. One day both the media and general public will see the shrill rhetoric for what it is. Absolute nonsense. We're already seeing that in the Ohio General Assembly, where even some lawmakers who are "on the fence" about self-defense laws are tiring of the tired "blood in the streets" warnings they hear time and time again.
