UK Gun Banners Refuse To Let Brit Olympic Team Practice In Its Own Nation

"Anti-gun campaigners have blasted plans to relax firearms laws for our Olympic shooters. Ministers are expected to let the 2012 pistol squad train in Britain after this year’s Beijing games instead of having to go abroad. But that will mean changing the rules banning all handguns, brought in after the Dunblane school massacre in 1996. Anne Pearston of the Snowdrop Campaign, which led the drive to outlaw guns after 16 kids and their teacher were killed, said: “A child’s life is not worth a medal.

“It took Dunblane for the Government to do the right thing - we can’t open the door again.”

No, no . . . don't do something like that. Don't do something rational, like let an experienced team practice on its own soil under highly controlled conditions. Listen to the words these people use . . . "putting society at risk for the sake of a few sportspeople . . . "

Folks, these "do-gooders" have put ordinary British citizens at risk with this ridiculous handgun ban. The only people running around with firearms now are "yobs," what we in the States refer to as "gang-bangers." Who has Ms. Pearston made safe with her policies? Criminals, that's who.

And now in the United States, we have two anti-gun, anti self-defense liberals arguing over who is a better defender of the Second Amendment. As if anyone believes they truly are standing up for the rights or firearms owners. Neither (for now) says they want to take away firearms used for sporting purposes . . .

Look to the UK, folks . . . it is the canary in the coal mine.
