If only the police followed common sense suggestions like these rather than the tired "walk in pairs," "use campus security," and "carry a cell phone."

Whistles will not stop a crazed lunatic determined to rape or harm me. They are not scary enough. Lucy is correct. A mugger will understand a .38 staring him in the face. If only more people understood that. I get it. Its why I carry anytime I am in Ohio city and state parks with my kids.
