Someone has set up a satire blog for the Violence Policy Center.
It is entertaining reading. TRL has not yet achieved "whacko status," but this online journal has not been around as long as some others.
Among the entries: A piece on how the Mauser Broomhandle was "the first assault pistol" ever devised, and how John Browning was a "dastardly Morman."
