Obsolete Skills???:
1. Dialing a rotary phone.
2. Putting a needle on a vinyl record. (hey I still own a lot of albums; artists are now pressing their music on vinyl; and there is a new interest -- call it retro?)
3. Changing tracks on an eight-track tape.
4. Shorthand.
5. Using a slide rule. (I think I remember this . . .)
6. Using carbon paper to make copies.
7. Developing film/photos. (I miss darkroom work . . . no place for my equipment today, and no place for "darkroom humor" in a politically correct world)
8. Changing the ball or ribbon on your Selectric Typewriter. (I still own one of these)
9. Getting off the couch to change channels on your TV set. (THIS IS progress)
10. Adjusting the rabbit ears on your TV set. (it isn't "ears" but it's amplified . . .)
11. Changing the gas mixture on your car’s carburetor. (what's THAT? just kidding)
